Flying Through Sydney

If you like maps, you’re likely to love this free exhibition. Although part of the commemorations of the 500th anniversary of the Portuguese landing in what is now Brazil, it focuses on the 18th-Century, the most important period for Portuguese cartography on Brazil. Of 300 maps unearthed in the archives of the National Library by researchers, 80 have been put on display of ‘New Lusitania’, as it was then called.
