This month the Florida Grand Opera puts on Rossini’s popular comedy. ‘The Barber of Seville’ is Figaro, who helps a dashing young nobleman save a rich young woman from a lecherous old doctor. From Act 1 Figaro makes his first appearance singing a lively comic aria, ‘Largo al factotum’, in which he boasts how clever he is. A perennial crowd-pleaser, this production is being held at the Dade County Auditorium.
